Barnesy was inspired by the time my step-father brought home a sheep. It was wriggling inside a bag. Its leg had been broken and my step-father was going to kill it for meat. My mother wouldn't have a bar of this. Instead she insisted on helping to mend the sheep's leg.

Barnesy was also inspired by singer, Jimmy Barnes. Growing up in the country, I was a huge fan. I still scream his songs in the shower each day (who knows what the neighbours think?!)

Finally, Barnesy was inspired by South Australian inventor Alfred Hannaford. Alfred left school at an early age. Yet still he had the creativity and audacity, with no formal tertiary education, to invent machinery that revolutionised farming. He built his own company.
